3G World Congress attracts speakers from prominent operators

The ninth annual 3G World Congress & Exhibition has confirmed senior executives from Hong Kong's top mobile operators to speak at this years 3G World Congress, to be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center between 15th and 19th November.
According to organizers IIR, the Institute of International Research, the three new speakers on the conference roster will be: Mike Robey, Chief Operating Officer of Hong Kong CSL; Charles Henshaw, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, China Resources Peoples Telephone Company; and Douglas Li, Chief Executive Officer for SmarTone.
"As Asia's longest-established event, the 3G World Congress & Exhibition is well known as a forum for debate within the Mobile industry and it is essential for us to open our doors to all players," said Daniel Kirwin, IIR's Managing Director, Asia. "Consequently, we are excited to have such a strong commitment by speakers from Hong Kong, across Asia as well as Europe and the United States."

Additional Hong Kong speakers include OFTA Director General M H Au and Commissioner for Innovation and Technology Anthony Wong. An invitation to Financial Secretary Henry Wang is currently under review.
The 3G World Congress & Exhibition has already confirmed as many as eighty speakers for the Conference, including internationally renowned companies like Alcatel, Cisco Systems, Ericsson, IBM, Infineon, Nokia Mobile Phones, Openwave, Siemens, Sprint, T-Mobile, Qualcomm and Vodaphone.
