Vodafone Germany releases Sony Ericsson V600i

July 6, 2005

Vodafone Germany has launched the Sony Ericsson V600i, a model with a sophisticated design and an equally sophisticated range of functions. Users who appreciate stylish phones will love the linear design and classic black and silver colours of the exclusive Vodafone live! UMTS phone. At the same time, the Sony Ericsson V600i offers all the functions that private or business users expect of a high-quality UMTS phone: fast access to the information and entertainment services via the Vodafone live! portal, video and photo functions with the integrated 1.3 megapixel camera and various interfaces for fast data synchronisation. The price is another convincing feature: in connection with the Vodafone UMTS Per-Minute Plus Package 200, the Sony Ericsson V600i only costs EUR 49.50.

The third Vodafone live! UMTS phone, a Sony Ericsson model, is a consistent addition to Vodafone's existing UMTS phone family. The new V600i model is now available exclusively from Vodafone. It is a convincing, first-rate mobile phone that unites aesthetically appealing design and a wide range of functions. Not only does the UMTS phone have an attractive appearance owing to its sleek black clamshell top and silver edging, it is also pleasantly light at 105 grams and extremely user friendly. A simple navigation concept ensures maximum convenience and fast access to the functions on the Vodafone live! portal. Sony Ericsson's dual front design enables the phone's vertical use as a telephone and horizontal use as a camera. Users who appreciate the advantages and personal touch of videotelephony can initiate the direct videotelephony function at the touch of only a few keys. Video calls can be made if both parties to the call have videotelephony-capable mobile phones and UMTS network coverage, which is already available in 700 German towns and cities.

Sony Ericsson V600i: perfect entertainment via UMTS

The integrated 1.3 megapixel digital camera with 4 x digital zoom and active lens protector for fast activation guarantee needle-sharp images. The large display with 262,144 TFT colours shows off the photos and videos to their best advantage - and is perfect for watching Vodafone Mobile TV, which now offers 17 channels and live broadcasts especially for UMTS phones. Mobile entertainment is also guaranteed by the integrated MP3 player and an excellent 3D java engine, which turns gaming into an exciting interactive experience.

Bluetooth for headset and data synchronisation

A comprehensive package of applications for individual information management and PC synchronisation via USB makes the Sony Ericsson V600i an intelligent work tool that unites business efficiency with high-speed data transfer. Wireless data transmissions can be realised with the Sony Ericsson V600i either via bluetooth or infrared interface. The UMTS phone comes with 32 MB of flexible internal memory. It also offers an unusually long stand-by time of up to 290 hours and talktime in the UMTS network of up to 2 hours.

The Sony Ericsson V600i is now available at a price of EUR 49.50 in connection with a term contract and the UMTS Per-Minute Plus Package 200, and it costs EUR 89.50 in connection with the conclusion of a contract with the UMTS Per-Minute Plus Package 100 tariff.
