Atkins 2Go diet on 3

July 11, 2005

Digital Chocolate, a developer of software for mobile phones, has teamed up with video mobile network 3 to bring Atkins2Go to mobile for the first time in Europe.

Using Atkins2Go, 3's customers will be able to look up the carbohydrate values in various foods on their mobile phone, log foods eaten along and track their carbohydrate intake and weight loss over time. Already popular in the United States, Atkins2Go is the first application of its kind developed specifically for the over 20 million people worldwide who embrace the Atkins Nutritional Approach and are looking for quick and easy mobile applications to support their lifestyles. 3's customers will be able to:

- Browse a comprehensive food carbohydrate reference database on their phone

- Easily add to a food log when eating

- Review carbohydrate intake and weight loss over time to see eating patterns

Trip Hawkins, Chief Executive and Founder of Digital Chocolate said: "Atkins2Go brings more freedom and convenience to mobile users who are conscious of their carb intake as part of a healthy lifestyle. We're excited that 3 shares our commitment to creating the most easy-to-use, fun applications for today's mobile lifestyle."

Graeme Oxby, Marketing Director 3 commented "Lifestyle applications like Atkins2Go broaden the appeal of our services and work well over mobile - now you can count carbs using your video mobile and no-one will ever know!"

Atkins2Go is available now only on 3. The application will be available from leading operators later in the year.
