Hutchinson 3G to show football on your phones

The premier league is to announce a three-year deal for 3G mobile phone exclusive transmitting rights to premiership football very soon with Hutchinson 3G in the UK.

The announcement will mean subscribers will be able to watch short live streaming video of the match and to download clips of key moments.

The deal with Hutchinson 3G could be announced on Friday. Last year the company paid over £4billion for a 3G license in the UK.

No value had been set but the price was estimated to be under £50million.

In February, the company announced rights to show highlights of five Italian soccer clubs' games on 3G mobile phones.
