Unity Wireless Experiences Increased Orders For 3G Products In Europe
June 18, 2003
Unity Wireless Corporation, a provider of power amplifiers to the wireless
industry, announced that its has experienced an increase in shipments
of its Cougar model power amplifier designed for use in 3G high speed
wireless networks and specifically targeting the European 3G UMTS high
speed wireless market.
Ilan Kenig, president and CEO of Unity Wireless Corporation commented,
"We are pleased to see increased sales in the 3G market in several countries
in Europe. This quarter we have shipped many 3G amplifiers targeting the
European markets and we are expecting to see further increases in sales
in the near future. Our research has shown that no other single channel
3G power amplifier available today can match the size-power-price ratio
of our Cougar 3G model power amplifier."
Senior RF Engineers Igor Bolouchaev and Mark Finlay explained that "the
Cougar model power amplifier from Unity Wireless is an innovative 12-Watt
WCDMA single channel power amplifier designed to meet the challenges presented
by today's sophisticated 3G wireless networks. Each Cougar power amplifier
combines a small physical footprint with high performance characteristics
usually only found in bigger, more complex and expensive power amplifiers."
Unity Wireless has sold hundreds of the Cougar model power amplifiers,
which is a field proven power amplifier solution that has become a reliable
and attractive package for European and US-based network vendors and system
integrators. This product acceptance is evidenced by repeat orders from
customers supplying systems for field trial purposes and for full-scale
3G network rollouts.
