Samsung, LG Compete in the Biggest Asian IT Show

Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics participate in CommunicAsia 2004, Asia's largest information technology exhibition, held from 15 to 18 June in Singapore. The two Korean IT giants are luring the Asian market with their cutting-edge IT gadgets such as camera phones.
Samsung Electronics prepared mega pixel camera phones of various designs such as swiveling and sliding type, on CDMA and GSM platform.
Under the banner of "Samsung in Your Life," Samsung Electronics provides viewers a chance to use its handsets in various hypothetical situations such as in studio, club, theater, office and campus.
The company is also preparing special event where people are allowed to take pictures with 2004 Olympics mascot Proteas with the Samsung mega pixel camera phone and get souvenirs with their pictures printed on.
The exhibition will serve as an opportunity to introduce Samsung's advanced multimedia cellular phone line-up in the emerging Asian market, the company official explained.
LG Electronics also introduces 3G mobile handsets, 1.3 and 2.0 mega pixel camera phones, World Phones, MP3 phones and PDA phones.
In particular LG Electronics will focus on the 3G mobile phones supplied to the Hong Kong-based leading communication service operator, Hutchison Whampoa.
