ACCESS' microbrowser selected for NEC 3G handsets

June 16, 2004

ACCESS, a global provider of Internet access technologies, announced that its NetFront v3.0 microbrowser has been deployed in NEC's new e616, c616,e313 and c313 handsets for use on Hutchison 3G's W-CDMA network in Europe and Asia. NEC also selected ACCESS' AVE -SSL encryption modules for the handset deployment.

ACCESS' extensive experience providing browser solutions for handsets deployed on W-CDMA networks, including NTT DoCoMo's FOMA 3G service in Japan and deployments in Europe and Asia ensures NEC e616, c616, e313, and c313 handset users a seamless, secure and content-rich mobile Internet experience.

"ACCESS is thrilled to expand its relationship with NEC through this latest handset deployment," said Toru Arakawa, President and Chief Executive Officer of ACCESS. "This latest effort is another example of our strategy to cooperate with operators and handset manufacturers in countries around the world to help make the mobile Internet ubiquitous, secure, and easily accessible."
