Kabira joins Mobile OSS Partner Program for 3G infrastructure

June 21, 2005

Kabira Technologies, provider of network switching software for telecommunications and real-time financial services, announced that it has joined the Mobile OSS (Operations Support System) Partner Program of the Siemens Communications Group. The Kabira Provisioning and Service Activation (KPSA) solution integrates the Siemens customized solutions portfolio for the management of mobile infrastructure.

"We are delighted by the choice of Siemens Communications to include our KPSA provisioning (2, 2.5 and 3G convergent solution) in its Mobile OSS Partner Program. The leading challenge for 3G service provisioning is its high contribution in the Service value chain, as it turned out from a pure technical 'commands translation' component to a service fulfillment software. So, if service provisioning has always been complex and challenging, 3G service provisioning is even more so. Therefore the Siemens choice contributes to the recognition of the carrier-grade quality, performance and flexibility of the Kabira Provisioning Solution, already adopted by worldwide leading wireless operators," said Frederic Aries, Vice President International of Kabira Technologies.

Mobile OSS Partner Program

The Mobile OSS Partner Program from Siemens Communications delivers coordinated, customized OSS solutions for 2G, 2.5G and 3G infrastructures to wireless service providers. Operators will benefit from easy access to a wide range of flexible operating and service solutions from leading best of breed vendors with the confidence that the solutions are pre-integrated and fully supported by Siemens Communications. The pre-integrated solutions jointly developed by Siemens Communications and its mobile OSS Partners will provide value both to wireless operators that want to leverage the investment in its existing IT infrastructure and Greenfield operators seeking a complete solution for the end-to-end management of a new network infrastructure.
