Axesstel to introduce new 3G gateways offering fixed mobile convergence

June 1, 2006

Axesstel will introduce its new MV300 Series CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Gateways at the CDMA450 Workshop being held Tuesday, June 6 at the Hotel Sofitel in Hanoi, Vietnam and at CommunicAsia 2006 being held June 20 - 23 at the Singapore Expo in Singapore. Lixin Cheng, chief sales officer and president of the fixed wireless group for Axesstel, is scheduled to speak at 11:30 am at the CDMA450 Workshop about the advantages of fixed wireless and fixed mobile convergence to the CDMA 450 market in Asia. Axesstel will exhibit the new 3G gateways along with its broadband modem, fixed wireless desktop phone and terminal product lines at CommunicAsia in booth AF3-08 located in the US International Pavilion in Hall 4.

"The convergence of voice and data, wireless and wire-line, local and wide area networking solutions present mobile operators with the ability to offer customers a complete package of communication services, leverage existing infrastructure, compete more effectively and maximize revenue streams," said Cheng. "Telecom penetration rates are extremely low in many emerging Asian countries and our recent purchase order announcements demonstrate the significant demand we are seeing from this region. By participating in the CDMA Workshop and CommunicAsia, we will demonstrate the competitive advantages of fixed wireless and converged solutions and look to partner with operators in Asia to meet unmet demand."

The Axesstel MV300 Series Gateways seamlessly converge CDMA2000 1xEV-DO data, CDMA2000 1X voice, analog fax, a Wi-Fi router and 4 port Ethernet switch in one easy-to-use device that provides residential and small business users with high-speed access to email and the Internet, voice calling, fax capabilities and plug-and-play networking of multiple laptop and desktop personal computers.
