LCC International to provide 3G solution for Saudi Telecom

June 26, 2006

LCC International announced that it has been awarded by Saudi Telecom (STC) a 24 month contract extension to lead the design and engineering efforts to transform STC's wireless infrastructure into a world class 3G network. The first installment under this extension amounts to SAR 65mil (approximately $17.3 mil) to be completed by 4th Qtr 2006, after which further extensions are expected to follow.

STC is one of the largest and fastest growing mobile operators within the Middle-Eastern region and has gained recognition for delivering advanced wireless services to keep pace with the demands from its increasing customer base. This contract extension will serve as the cornerstone for advancing 3G wireless services within the region as high capacity content and applications are being launched throughout Middle-Eastern wireless networks.

"We are pleased to have been chosen by STC to provide 3G engineering and design services to support their advancement of emerging wireless technologies," says Carlo Baravalle, sr. vice president, LCC International. "This agreement solidifies and reflects our strength in providing strategic consulting services and tools that assist wireless carriers and content companies in maximizing and leveraging the potential that 3G wireless offer."

This renewal is consistent with LCC International's previously announced strategy to deliver consultation, engineering services and various tools focused on WiMAX, Broadband, UMTS and HSPDA technologies. "LCC continues to play a key 'think-tank' role for our wireless and mobile content customers" reflects Dean Douglas, CEO, LCC International. "We are pleased to have received a 24 month extension to our current agreement with STC in support of their efforts to migrate towards 3G technologies. It is indicative of the relationship and value we have brought to STC and look forward to continuing our efforts with STC for years to come."
