Orange Sverige Signs Deal with Arrowheaddate: March 10, 2002 Orange Sverige AB announces the signing of a frame agreement with Arrowhead who, in cooperation with Svenska Kraftnät and Birka Energi, will supply backbone and network capacity for Orange's 3G network. Through the frame agreement signed, Arrowhead offers Orange Sverige the use of its extensive infrastructure. According to the agreement Orange Sverige buys both the black fiber (optic fiber cable without connected transmission equipment) and network capacity from Arrowhead in Sweden. The agreement is for 10 years. The parties have agreed not to reveal the value of the order. ”This agreement is an important milestone for the construction of Orange Sverige’s 3G network”, says Jerry Huxtable, CEO for Orange Sverige. “We have gained access to the most modern transmission technology which gives us the right prerequisites to be able to offer high-quality services in our 3G network. Orange is known for offering superior network performance and our focus in Sweden is to build a network that gives consistent high-quality coverage and operational reliability.”
