Andrew Introduces Cell-Max Dual Band Directional Antennas for In-Building and Outdoor Wireless Applicationsdate: March 12, 2002 Andrew Corporation introduced Cell-Max Dual Band Directional Antennas for extending wireless coverage in areas of weak RF signal reception such as office buildings, parking garages, and tunnels. These versatile new antennas are available in 824 to 960 MHz and 1710 to 2170 MHz frequency bands. The antennas can support Cellular, GSM, GSM1800, PCS and UMTS deployments, and their dual band capability will support future 3G applications. These antennas can also be used in high traffic micro-cell applications. Cell-Max Dual Band Directional Antennas are compact (9-inches long, 9-inches wide, and 1.6-inches deep) and weigh just 1/2 lb. The antennas come complete with an SMA female connector or with an integral coaxial cable jumper and customer-specified connector. Mounting hardware is included for either wall or pole mount configurations. Cell-Max antennas can be installed individually or as part of a complete system solution that includes other Andrew in-building products such as: Cell-Max Omni Antennas, the InCell fiber optic distributed antenna system, or RADIAX radiating cable, taps, and accessories.
