Vodafone and Panasonic to Work Together on Next Generation Handsets

Panasonic is working with Vodafone on next-generation GPRS and 3G wireless services and intends to release a product for the carrier this year. "We are collaborating very closely with Vodafone," said Joachim Reinhart, President and COO, Panasonic. "Of course this is focusing on GPRS and 3G service," he added.

Reinhart said products resulting from the co-operation with Vodafone, are likely to appear before the end of this calendar year, and his company is working with a number of other carriers as well.
