Micronetics Introduces Wave-3G-TM- RF Converterdate: March 19, 2002 Micronetics Wireless announced the introduction of its Wave-3G CON RF Converter at the CTIA Wireless 2002 Convention and Exposition in Orlando, FL. The Wave-3G CON RF Converter is the second product offering of Micronetics' Wave-3G Multipath Fading Test Platform. Micronetics' Wave-3G is a multipath fading simulator that is used to test or design wireless products by simulating multipath fading characteristics of a wireless communication link. The Wave-3G SIM, the first product launched in Micronetics' Wave-3G Platform, enables the user to simulate signals at baseband. The Wave-3G CON enables the user to simulate signals at the applicable RF signal. The Wave-3G offers static and dynamic multipath fading for 3G, IMT2000, and cdmaOne, together with an internal architecture including a built-in, dual-mode noise source, digital power meter, and AGC (automatic gain control) circuitry. Ralph Marrone, VP of Noise and Test Solutions, stated "The features and performance of the Wave-3G SIM that we previously launched, will now be available across a broadband frequency range for many applications, including mobile handsets and base-station testing for Cellular, PCS, 3G Broadband Access, Wireless Local Loop and Wireless LAN applications." A demonstration of the Wave-3G SIM will be conducted at Micronetics Booth Number 3948 at the CTIA Wireless 2002 Convention and Exposition in Orlando, FL on March 18-20, 2002.
