Telemobil Selects And Implements CSG Systems Billing Software For Mobile Telephony And Mobile Internet Services

date: March 24, 2002

CSG Systems, a provider of customer care and billing solutions, announced that Telemobil, the first 3G mobile operator in Romania, has successfully implemented the CSG Kenan 3G mobile solution as its sole billing platform for next generation mobile voice and data services.

Telemobil launched services under the brand name Zapp Mobile in Dec. 2001. Zapp Mobile is based on CDMA2000 technology, which allows a large number of users to use the same limited range of radio channels. Operating at 450 MHz, Zapp Mobile will bring high speed packet data and high quality voice services, along with “always-on” mobile Internet access, to 95% of the Romanian population by early 2003.

With Telemobil’s requirement to launch new mobile voice and data services, the company needed a scalable and proven billing system, allowing the flexibility and capability to provision, rate and invoice new customers quickly. The CSG Kenan 3G Mobile solution, which includes 3G billing, activation and mediation capabilities, enables Telemobil to provision a variety of mobile services and accurately invoice for those services in order to maintain customer satisfaction and maximize revenues.

“As a growing mobile service provider, our priority was to implement a proven end-to-end billing solution that was easily adaptable for next generation services. CSG's billing and customer care solution already has the capacity to accurately bill for 3G services”, said Diwaker Singh, President & CEO of Telemobil.

“We are pleased that Telemobil has chosen our integrated CSG Kenan 3G Mobile solution for order management, provisioning, mediation and billing, to support their growing business strategy,” said John Bleach, sales and marketing director for CSG's Europe, Middle East and Africa division.
