March 9, 2006
VK mobile phones are gaining a lot of attention from visitors at CeBIT 2006, the world's largest ICT trade fair, in Hanover, Germany from March 9th to the 15th.
The 8.8 mm super slim model, the VK 2000, received the 2006 Red Dot Design Award from Germany. At this exhibition, VK unveils a variety of devices with thin design and advanced convergent functions, receiving excellent reviews from individuals involved in the industry and other visitors.
In particular, the VK 2200 features a 4 mega-pixel camera, an MP3 player with MPEG4 capability and measures only 12mm thick; The VK 5000 is equipped with the EDGE chip (2.75 G) enhancing data transfer rates; and the 3G phone, the VK 7000, features real-time multimedia video streaming.
VK is offering a number of events at the exhibition to heighten attention on its handsets; thin models are decorated with brilliant color highlighting VK handsets' slim, sleek designs: and local DJs and B-boys perform dynamic dances to exciting music, allowing visitors to directly feel the advanced music capability of VK handsets.
In addition, VK is showcasing its next generation technologies such as a mobile presentation solution; users can connect a cell phone to a TV through VK's mobile computing technology and give a presentation using a cell phone without any additional operating system or software.
Kim Jeong-seok, director of VK's strategic marketing department, said, "We affirmed again at this exhibition that a thin, slim model and convergent technology are the global market trends in mobile phones," adding, "A lot of attention from visitors shows that VK handsets are already recognized in terms of design and are considered as excellent as those of the world renowned cell phone manufacturers in terms of technology. This exhibition will be a good opportunity for VK to consolidate its global status."
