Nokia to develop RCS&RDS 3G network

March 11, 2007

Nokia will provide, through its Nokia NetAct division, the necessary equipment and service for the implementation of a third generation telephony network, a company press release informs.

Nokia NetAct will also plan and implement the operator’s 3G network, endure the project management, the technical support and personnel training.

"A fast development on the market and a cost efficient strategy are critical in launching 3G services for RDS&RCS in Romania. The equipment and service quality Nokia provides offer the required support in order to attract clients and offer high quality mobile services", says Alexandru Oprea, RCS&RDS CEO.

RCS&RDS launched this week its third generation mobile communication service, Digi Tel.
