Hutchison Selects Key Component of ADC's Singularit.e for 3G Billingdate: May 14, 2001 - source: ADC today announced that Hutchison Telecom will implement ADC's Singl.eView to bill for future 3G and existing services. The billing system will support all voice, data, mobile and fixed communications products and services provided under Hutchison's Orange business. Singl.eView will support Hutchison's existing wireless, paging and fixed line network and reseller services. This will also allow Hutchison to provide future product and service innovation over its 3G network. The contract between ADC and Hutchison for the billing software and services is worth more than A$10 million over five years and Hutchison plans to migrate all its customers to Singl.eView by January 2002. "The new system will allow us to be very responsive to the market, develop new products quickly and offer innovative services quickly," said Susan Buttsworth, director IT and billing for Hutchison. "It is well suited for 3G and a necessary platform for our growing business. Orange has changed enormously over the past 12 months and as the business has grown, so too have the needs of our billing and IT departments." "Hutchison selected Singl.eView as the premier solution for 3G services involving new charging and billing requirements," said Malcolm Lower, ADC regional sales vice president, "These requirements highlight the importance of Singl.eView's architecture and its flexibility in investment protection of Hutchison's business, even as new products are introduced or the industry moves in a new direction." Global consulting services company, Logica assisted Hutchison in the vendor selection process and will continue as systems integrator after ADC deploys Singl.eView.
