Neoreach Conducts 3G Wireless Simulation Tests At Korea's Information and Communications Universitydate: May 2, 2002 Mobilepro, today announced that its subsidiary, Neoreach, a developer of modem solutions to support 3G wireless communication services, has begun working with scientists at the RF Microelectronics Lab (RFIC) at Korea's Information and Communications University in South Korea, to test its latest modem development advancements. The first phase of the simulation testing will focus principally on the Company's proprietary 3G radio frequency (RF) module technology. The Neoreach RF engineering efforts are lead by Dr. Dong-Kyun Kang, the Chief RF engineer and originator of the Company's proprietary radio frequency designs. Since April 22, he has been working on-site at the RFIC Lab with Professor Lee Sang to establish and oversee the testing program. Already, work is underway to facilitate simulation of the Neoreach W-CDMA RF CMOS design. The goal of the on-site test program is to complete designs for both the transceiver and receiver applications. Neoreach President and CEO Arne Dunhem said, "The two-year engineering investment we have made for different modem configurations has led us to today's milestone -- simulation testing in South Korea. The test phase currently underway brings us significantly closer to commercializing our W-CDMA modem and RF designs." The Company's solutions support the W-CDMA standard-the primary of the two wireless network standards dominating the current 3G communications services roll-out in South Korea, Japan and Europe. AT&T and VoiceStream have recently announced plans to support this standard as well.
