Orange in new cooperation with Sydkraft in Swedendate: May 2, 2002 Orange Sverige has signed a frame agreement today with Sydkraft Elnät Syd and Sydkraft Elnät Malmö regarding placement of antennas on existing pylons for 3G construction in southern Sweden. The cooperation between the companies begins immediately. Orange Sverige’s aim is to use existing infrastructure along with other players to the greatest extent possible, says Jerry Huxtable, CEO for Orange Sverige AB. Co-using is rational and facilitates building for all involved. We strive to ensure that the localization and shaping of all masts and antennas takes the environmental and planning views into consideration. The agreement with Sydkraft Elnät Syd and Sydkraft Elnät Malmö is, therefore, very positive and responds to important demands from the public to keep the number of masts to a minimum, concludes Jerry Huxtable. We play an active role in the building of the third generation’s mobile telephone network by offering antenna spots to operators. We look forward to this cooperation with Orange, which will commence in the Malmö and Karlskrona regions,” says Anders Möller, Business Development, Sydkraft AB.
