Amena to have 3G in H1 '03

Auna Operadores de Telecomunicaciones' wireless unit Amena expects the
commercial launch of UMTS technology to take place in Spain in H1, 2003,
according to Belarmino Garcia, company general director.
Belarmino said Amena is forecasting revenue of EUR2bn in 2002. He said
the company expects to swing to a profit in 2002 from the EUR120m loss
reported a year earlier.
Amena was granted a UMTS license by the Ministry of Promotion and Development
on March 13th 2000.
