Unity Wireless Ships 3G Power Amplifiers to European Customersdate: May 30, 2002 Unity Wireless Corporation, a provider of RF power amplifiers to the wireless telecommunications industry, announced today that is has shipped the first production orders of its "Cougar" model 3G power amplifier to customers in Europe. Products were shipped to two clients including Radio Components Sweden AB under a previously announced supply agreement. "Unity Wireless is one of the first companies to present 3G power amplifiers to the marketplace and we are encouraged by the favourable reception from existing and potential European customers," stated Chris Neumann, Vice President of Sales for Unity Wireless Corporation. "We believe that our advanced 3G power amplifier product line, together with products currently under development, will give the Company the opportunity to be a significant supplier to this market. We believe that additional companies in Europe, North America, South Korea, and China will adopt 3G wireless technology and integrate it into their existing networks." "We believe the "Cougar" 3G model single carrier power amplifier is one of the first of its kind available in the market," explained Nart Bajj, lead project engineer for the Cougar power amplifier. "Its high linearity and minimal production time make it well adapted for 3G applications and volume production. WCDMA's wider frequency band lends itself to a less powerful and more concentrated base station and repeater network environment which is a perfect fit for the 12 Watt Cougar."
