GCF Approves 3G Mobile Systems
May 19, 2003
Anritsu Corporation announces that its ME7873A W-CDMA TRX Performance
Test System and MX785201A W-CDMA Protocol Test System have gained approval
of the Global Certification Forum (GCF) in Europe.
The ME7873A W-CDMA TRX Performance Test System is the first system in
the industry to acquire GCF approval for 3GPP RF testing (10 Test Cases)
defined by 3GPP specifications. Furthermore, the MX785201A W-CDMA Protocol
Test System obtained GCF approval for 13 of the 3GPP protocol Test Cases
that play key roles in software development.
With these approvals, the ME7873A and MX785021A can be used for W-CDMA
3G mobile terminal conformance tests.
Mobile terminals passing these tests are assured of inter-connectivity
with those of other mobile terminal manufacturers or carriers.

This measuring system can perform RF transmission, reception and performance
tests of W-CDMA 3G mobile terminals.
MX785201A W-CDMA Protocol Test System
This measuring system enables protocol connection with W-CDMA 3G mobile
terminals of different manufacturers.
Anritsu will continue to conform to the latest RF and protocol testing
specifications and gain GCF approval in order to provide customers manufacturing
W-CDMA mobile terminals with up-to-date test solutions, said the company.
Anritsu aims to lead in the field of W-CDMA mobile terminal conformance
test systems.
