O2 Germany supplied with Merlin U630 data card

Novatel Wireless announces it will supply O2 (Germany) GmbH & Co with the Merlin U630 Wireless PC Card Modem, offering O2 Germany subscribers international mobile roaming capabilities. First commercial shipments of the Merlin U630 to O2 Germany are scheduled beginning in May 2005.

Using the Novatel Wireless Merlin U630, O2 Germany will provide its more than 7 million subscribers with high-speed broadband access to email, the Internet and corporate files at speeds of up to 384 kilobits per second. The Merlin U630 enables wireless connectivity on UMTS 2100 MHz bands in Asia, Europe and the Middle East and GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 MHz bands across the globe. Remote workers can easily and conveniently stay connected to customers, partners and co-workers from any location within O2's network of operators, providing businesses with a competitive advantage.
