Novatel Wireless and Dilithium to promote 3G video telephony solutions

May 3, 2005

Novatel Wireless and Dilithium Networks announced an agreement to jointly promote their complementary 3G video telephony solutions for PCs.

Dilithium's VT-PHONE enables video telephony calls between 3G handsets, laptops equipped with Novatel Wireless' Merlin line of 3G data cards or PCs connected via Novatel Wireless' line of Ovation multimedia applications consoles. When ported to a single device, such as the Ovation console, users will be able to access wireless video telephony applications from laptops, PCs and other peripheral devices connected to the Ovation console.

"It (Novatel Wireless) has established relationships with a large network of wireless operators worldwide and our partnership will promote the adoption of advanced 3G video telephony services, benefiting the 3G industry as a whole," said Paul Zuber, CEO of Dilithium Networks.

"The benefits provided by 3G data and video access are tremendous, and we are happy to promote Dilithium's advanced video telephony solution to carriers worldwide," said Peter Leparulo, CEO of Novatel Wireless. "Our partnership with Dilithium provides key 3G technologies to promote high-speed wireless connectivity to enterprises and consumers."
