nGame Partners With Wapidu in Next Generation Global Content Distribution Deal

date: November 27, 2001

nGame announced today that they have signed their second external developer, Wapidu. The Spanish developer, based in Barcelona, will provide nGame a range more than 20 games and other applications for next generation 3G devices over the next twenty four months for exclusive worldwide distribution outside of Spain. Wapidu's current games will be available before the end of the year via the nGame's distribution network, and include a variety of compelling classic, casino, trivia and entertainment applications.

Until recently, nGame content has been developed in-house, and its games have consistently led the new wireless gaming industry in terms of imagination and technical innovation. Last year, with Merchant Princes, nGame became the first wireless gaming company to be nominated for a prestigious British Academy of Film and Television Arts award. The launch of its developer program is allowing nGame to begin building a high quality content portfolio via external developers. nGame will continue to create titles in-house with a focus on developing multiplayer-persistent and location based games. The first external developer, The Games Kitchen from Scotland, was announced recently.
