Dynamic Telecommunications' WCDMA scanning receivers selected by Grayson

November 19, 2002

Dynamic Telecommunications (DTI), a provider of high-speed, multi-standard wireless test and measurement solutions, announced one of the first shipments of it's enhanced WCDMA Scanning Receivers to Grayson Wireless. Grayson is a provider in the design and manufacturing of measurement and signal processing systems for testing wireless networks (cellular, PCS, DCS, SMR and paging) and geolocation equipment.

The DTI scanning receivers are integrated into Grayson's Invex3G, a next generation measurement system, that provides a view of the wireless network from the subscribers' viewpoint and measures such service factors as failed originations, dropped calls, and poor call quality.

"The monitoring and testing of both existing and new infrastructure is critically important to wireless service providers," said Ken Talbott, general manager of Grayson Test and Measurement. "In order to address the more sophisticated needs of third generation wireless networks we selected the WCDMA Scanning Receiver from DTI simply because they provide the most reliable solution available."

Wireless service providers invest millions of dollars annually to optimize network performance and capacity. The integration of DTI's scanning receiver with Grayson's Invex3G makes it possible for wireless operators to perform these tasks both more quickly and more precisely.

Paul Kline, chief executive officer of DTI, said, "We believe many wireless services providers will offer WCDMA services, and with the introduction of our next generation scanning receiver both Grayson and DTI are in a good position to address this evolving market."
