TANDBERG 3G solutions premiere in Hong Kong

November 20, 2005

TANDBERG, an expert in visual communication, attended the Hong Kong 3G World Congress & Exhibition 2005, showcasing for the first time its advanced 3G visual communication solutions.

As the industry leader with the mission to make business-quality video accessible to everyone, TANDBERG presented its solutions designed for 3G mobile operators and enterprises. TANDBERG technology links 3G mobile handsets to SIP, IP and ISDN networks, allowing users to place a video call to any video endpoint or multipoint control unit. During the Congress, the President of TANDBERG Asia Pacific, Mr. Benny Lee, also discussed how service providers are able to maximize the potential of 3G video services.

"3G users have high requirements for interoperability, reliability and quality, which represents great opportunity for industry development," Mr. Lee stated. "The video communication products and solutions TANDBERG provides realize interoperability between different protocols and different networks. It is anytime-and-anywhere video communication in the true sense."

TANDBERG had recently acquired Ivigo, a provider of interactive multimedia video applications and a developer of video services for 3G mobile phones, to provide multipoint calls and video conferencing based on ISDN, IP, V.35, SIP and 3G networks.
