Spectrian Corporation to Exhibit At UMTS 2001date: October 16, 2001 Spectrian Corporation, design and manufactures of power amplifiers for the wireless infrastructure market, today announced that the company will be exhibiting at the UMTS 2001 show October 17-20 in Barcelona, Spain. Spectrian will have some of its products on display and Joe Madden, vice president of marketing, will be available for interviews at Booth D-13. On display at this year's UMTS Show will be Spectrian's MCPA4000, which supports UMTS/IMT 2000 3G base stations. Its high efficiency (DC/RF) allows for lower operational costs and better thermal performance. It offers advanced wideband high performance while its power combinable amplifier modules allow for scalable system output power configurations. The MCPA 4000 is also compact and easy to install. Spectrian will also display its MCPA 2135, recently approved by the FCC. When combined as a part of an amplifier system, this newly developed multicarrier power amplifier provides as much as 500 watts of power per sector and incorporates Spectrian's PowerStack(TM) technology. In addition, the MCPA 2135 provides a clear migration path to support 3G services for CDMA, TDMA, GSM and EDGE modulations. Spectrian will also show its SPCA 1040 and its MCPA 4080. The SPCA 1040 is a small, lightweight amplifier utilizing LDMOS transistor technology. The MCPA 4080 is an 80-watt PCS high performance multicarrier power amplifier, which works at the 1900 frequency range providing soft fail protection at a low cost. "Our products demonstrate Spectrian's value to its customers as we provide a clear migration path to 3G technology and lower cost of ownership through our industry leading efficiency," said Thomas H. Waechter, Spectrian's president and chief executive officer. "We are looking forward to exhibiting our technology to our key audience at the UMTS 2001 show."
