3UK new offers and changes

October 5, 2003

Unlimited free content access for first month.

October has seen two new tariffs released by 3UK, VideoTalk100 and Football 500. There are also some other new introductions and changes occurring this month that consumers may not know about.

1.) VideoTalk 100 tariff
This new plan at £15 a month is ideal for low end contract users who wants to enjoy new 3G services provided by 3. Once the 100 minutes of inclusive voice calls have been used, the price for calls, content and services are exactly the same as other VideoTalk packages. The inclusive minutes can be used at anytime and to any network.

2.) Football 500 tariff
This is the perfect deal for football fans with unlimited access to all of 3's football content including the Premiership, UEFA Champions League, FA leagues and Scottish FA leagues. For £30 per month users also have 500 minutes of voice calls to any network at anytime.

3.) Motorola A835 handset
Customers can get their hands on the new Motorola A835 handset this month which can be preordered from 3Gnewsroom.com. The handset is smaller and lighter than the Motorola A920 but without the advanced PDA functions. The inclusion of the video calling function should keep also everyone happy.

4.) Add-on services
Four new add-on packages were introduced at the beginning of this month to allow customers to customise their price plans for better value.
- Football content for £5 per month: Unlimited access to 3's football content including free access for the first month
- Entertainment content for £5 per month: Unlimited access to 3's entertainment service including free access for the first month
- Unlimited content for £10 per month: Unlimited access to 3 video and text content including free usage for the first month
- Text messaging for £5 per month: Includes 75 text messages each month

5.) Same price for both voice and video calls
New customers signing up to 3 between October and the end of this December can enjoy video calls for the same price as voice calls for 3 months beginning from their date of registration.

6.) Changes to VideoTalk price plans
From October, new customers signing onto either VideoTalk 500 or 750 plans no longer include content allowances or free text messages. They will however receive unlimited 3 content free for the first month of their contract.

7.) Withdrawal of inclusive handset insurance
All handsets registered after October 1st will no longer benefit from inclusive insurance, therefore 3 will not replace lost or damaged handsets unless users take out a 3Care insurance.
