Radioplan improves 3G network planning processes
October 9, 2003
Radioplan, a provider of network planning, optimization, and measurement
analysis solutions, has said it has solved the common problem of inaccurate
and unreliable planning data in the 3G planning and optimization processes.
The WiNeS software platform for 3G network validation and optimization
bridges network planning as well as measurement acquisition and analysis
for an efficient and reliable 3G network optimization based on live network
data, the company said.
The latest version of the WiNeS 3G Platform 2.1 now supports and drastically
accelerates the entire workflow of network layout validation and optimization.
In particular, planning data and field measurement data can be easily
combined to automatically tune the pathloss maps and to instantly identify
network configuration errors or mismatching parameter settings.
Based on this improved network database, the automated network optimization
in the WiNeS Platform yields a significant performance increase of the
network which can be predicted very exactly. The overwhelming optimization
result could also be confirmed by field measurements which underlines
the increase in accuracy of the planning data due to tuning with live
network data.
