TruVideo team-up to introduce new mobile video technology

October 19, 2004

TruVideo and FreeVerse Partners team up to introduce new mobile video technology. TruVideo, a pioneer in mobile video technology has signed a representative agreement with FreeVerse Partners in Tokyo, Japan to develop business and expand into the Asian market.

"TruVideo's technology is ideal for bandwidth constrained wireless applications, and is the best fit for today's 2G and 3G networks," says Tim Smith, of FreeVerse Partners. "We are excited to introduce this technology to the fast growing Asian market and see a great future for it especially in the Brew and Symbian enabled handset market."

TruVideo's technology is based on a suite of patented video encoding, decoding, and delivery algorithms, which dramatically reduce bandwidth requirements while maintaining high quality and smooth delivery. Streaming video content at over 5fps at less than 20kbps is possible making it one of the only technologies that can provide video streaming to the 2.5G network environment.

"Entering the Asian market represents real challenges to any technology company," comments Avideh Zakhor, CEO of TruVideo. "FreeVerse Partners has the market knowledge and experience to help us enter the Asian market especially in Japan, China and Taiwan."
