October 27, 2004

ZTE Corporation, China’s largest supplier of telecommunication equipment, has launched the world’s smallest, lightest, and most compact 3G handset.

Announced at today’s Expo Comm China exhibition in Beijing, ZTE’s F808 weighs only 104grams, and measures 88.5mm x 44.6mm x 22.5mm. Its features include voice, multimedia messaging and a built-in rotatable 300,000 pixel camera. It can also provide video phone capability, multimedia play and high speed data download.

"We have sold more than 12 million handsets this year alone and we are confident that this success will continue as we develop such world leading phones as the F808." said ZTE Senior Vice President, Shi Lirong.
