Vodafone K.K. releases the 803T in Japan

October 25, 2005

Vodafone K.K. announces that it commenced sales of the Vodafone 803T all-in-one music player 3G handset by Toshiba, which features easy access to music files and background play when using mail or the web. Sales began on 22 October 2005 in the Kanto-Koshin and Hokkaido regions and will go on sale in other regions nationwide on 26 October.

The 803T features a 'Music Console' so customers can easily access Chaku-Uta Full music tracks downloaded from Vodafone live! or PC music files transferred to memory cards while the handset is closed. The handset's large-size 1.3-inch sub-display also displays artist names, song length and other information so customers can find the music they want to listen to at a glance. The 803T is also capable of playing music while customers use mail or the web for music enjoyment anytime.

The main features of the 803T are as follows:

-- External Music Console for easy music listening while the handset is closed and background play when using mail or the web

-- Enriched functions: 2.26 megapixel mobile camera, stereo twin speakers, and Bluetooth

-- Fully supports Vodafone K.K. 3G services such as Vodafone live! BB, which lets customers enjoy rich music and video content by downloading large files via their PCs, video calls, and international roaming

-- Standard set includes multistereo earphone mic with audio remote control, USB cable for PC connectivity, and a miniSD Memory Card (64MB) for convenient music track storage, so customers can enjoy music soon after purchase
