Ecrio to power DoCoMo's FOMA handsets

Ecrio, the provider of Real Time Communications software for Mobile Phones announced that Ecrio's Embedded Push-to-Talk over Cellular (PoC) solution has been licensed by NTT DoCoMo to be deployed on the new 902i series 3G FOMA handsets, the most advanced handsets ever deployed by NTT DoCoMo.
"We are delighted to establish this relationship with Ecrio," said Koji Chiba, Vice President, Managing Director of Customer Equipment Development Department. "PoC is going to be a key component of our mobile network and next generation mobile terminals. Ecrio has demonstrated its vision and leadership by delivering a highly flexible and portable PoC architecture that was easily integrated in our Symbian OS and Linux FOMA handsets."
