3UK wins two top honours

October 9, 2006

3UK was awarded two top honours at the 2006 Mobile Choice Consumer Awards in London. Beating off stiff competition the mobile media company was set apart from competitors such as Vodafone, O2 and Orange after scooping the awards for Best 3G Operator and Best Internet Service.

The prestigious Mobile Choice Consumer Awards, voted for by the readers of Mobile Choice, give the winners the highly valued stamp of consumer recognition. This well-established awards ceremony prides itself on distinguishing the top players in the mobile space using this truly diverse panel.

With over 3.75 million subscribers on its network, and some of the most innovative services and initiatives in the UK, 3 is a deserving winner of the Best 3G Operator Award. 3 prides itself on constantly responding to the demands of its customers so that it is always offering ground-breaking mobile content and excellent service.

In addition to this, 3 UK also won the Best Internet Service for Today on 3. This unique offering allows customers easy access to the plethora of content available on the 3 portal, from the latest games and music downloads to made-for-mobile TV programmes.

Graeme Oxby, Marketing Director at 3 said: "The fact that these awards are voted for by the consumer serves as a resounding recognition of everything we have been striving to achieve as the UK's most dedicated 3G operator. The tide is turning as the UK consumer wakes up to the fact that there is so much more they can get from their mobile. This change is being driven by 3, and these awards recognise this."
