Partner selects Celtro's backhaul switching solution for HSDPA rollout

October 16, 2006

Celtro announced that Partner Communication, operating the orange network in Israel, is currently deploying Celtro's cellular backhaul switching solution for the expansion of 3G services and the rollout of HSDPA. Deployment of the Celtro DynaMate solution will enable Partner to increase network capacity, improve service delivery, and maximize network flexibility.

Partner is deploying Celtro's DynaMate family of carrier-class access switches for the cellular backhaul network. DynaMate products combine multi service TDM, ATM and IP switching with Celtro's unique cellular traffic optimization technology - optimally converging 2G, 3G and HSDPA traffic onto a dynamically shared, unified backhaul network.

"Partner evaluated a number of backhaul aggregation and optimization solutions to enhance its 3G and HSDPA rollout, and chose Celtro's solution", said Alon Berman, Partner's VP Technologies. "The performance of the DynaMate cellular backhaul switching solution thus far has been excellent and we are pleased with Celtro's commitment and ability to meet our aggressive objectives."

"Being selected by an innovative industry leader in 3G and HSDPA transmission such as Partner represents another significant win for Celtro," said Ron Zor, chief executive officer of Celtro. "We look forward to deepening our partnership with Partner, and continuing to assist them in controlling network overhead while augmenting performance," he concluded.
