Hutchison 3G selects E.piphany to provide CRM intelligence

date: September 11, 2001

Hutchison 3G UK, holder of the UMTS license for the largest block of spectrum in the UK and E.piphany, a leader in customer relationship management (CRM) software, today announced that Hutchison 3G has selected E.piphany to be a key component of its enterprise CRM strategy. The E.piphany CRM solution will enable Hutchison 3G to drive intelligence into each customer interaction by providing the right business insights needed to enhance the company's real-time marketing, sales and service initiatives.

Hutchison 3G's CRM strategy revolves around the need to grow its customer base quickly, deliver a superior customer experience and drive maximum customer value. E.piphany's CRM software will provide the intelligence that drives the customer experience across each touchpoint, by making real time decisions based on a single view of the customer and through other analytical capabilities. Hutchison 3G will use these insights to acquire new customers, deliver real-time customer knowledge and feed relevant data back into the system to further enhance the customer experience.

Hutchison 3G is pioneering the future of customer experiences and we're proud to be a technology partner to this industry visionary, said Adrian Reynolds, general manager for E.piphany UK and Ireland. Our technology transforms the customer's experience, and like many of our clients, Hutchison 3G will soon find the residual benefits of E.piphany technology, such as increased organizational effectiveness thanks to the blurring of lines between marketing, sales and service. We're very pleased to be working with Hutchison 3G and look forward to a long partnership with the company worldwide.

The E.piphany system will initially be deployed in the UK and later made available in every country where Hutchison Whampoa has 3G interests. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
