HK 3G Auction Results Announcement

The Telecommunications Authority is pleased to announce the provisional result of the First Phase of the Auction of Hong Kong Third Generation Mobile Service Licences today.

The Provisional Successful Bidders are:

- Hong Kong CSL Limited: a company jointly owned by Telstra Corporation Limited (60%) and Pacific Century CyberWorks Limited (40%);

- Hutchison 3G HK Limited: a company jointly owned by Hutchison Whampoa Limited (75%) and NTT DoCoMo Inc (25%);

- SmarTone 3G Limited: a company wholly owned by SmarTone Telecommunications Holdings Limited; and

- SUNDAY 3G (Hong Kong)Limited: a company wholly owned by SUNDAY Communications Limited

The Applicable Royalty Percentage is 5%. The relevant minimum fee of the Spectrum Utilization Fees shall be:
