September 11, 2002
Australian telco Telstra's reported likely adoption of CDMA2000
as its 3G mobile technology big plus for KDDI, three South Korean
carriers, and technology provider Qualcomm.
If Telstra joins CDMA2000 camp, competing WCDMA network led by
NTT DoCoMo will lose around 45% of Australian mobile users.
