Samsung selects Dilithium Networks' video solution for 3G handsets

September 16, 2004

Dilithium Networks, a provider of wireless multimedia solutions, announced that its 3G-324M video telephony and conferencing protocol software, has been selected by Samsung for its next generation Smartphone handsets.

Following this agreement with Samsung, Dilithium Networks is now supplying its 3G-324M/H.324M Stack to more that 50% of global handset manufacturers supporting commercial 3G service rollouts.

The agreement also includes licensing of Dilithium Networks' patent pending AnswerFast technology which reduces the call session time by up to 50% when compared to standard 3G video telephony calls. This technology is also incorporated into the DTG2000, Dilithium Networks multimedia gateway.

"The incorporation of Dilithium Networks' 3G-324M/H.324M Stack will enable Samsung's customers to take advantage of the enhanced 3G services such as conversational video telephony," said Lee Ellison, Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Dilithium Networks.

Dilithium Networks 3G-324M/H.324M stack is fully compatible with the 3GPP-324M standard. The company has been an active participant of the International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium's (IMTC) 3G-324M/H.324M interoperability group since its origin over three years ago.
