Mobile Media and CinemaElectric to create and distribute 3G entertainment

September 29, 2005

The Mobile Media Company - The Personal Broadcaster, has joined forces with CinemaElectric to distribute CinemaElectric's PocketCinema mobile video content and applications. The two companies have also agreed to jointly develop exclusive interactive entertainment for 3G mobile audiences worldwide.

"We are delighted to be working with the talented team at CinemaElectric, and use our combined 3G experience to deliver truly made-for-mobile video entertainment," says Steinar Svalesen, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Mobile Media North America.

The partnership's first project will be an Italian-language version of CinemaElectric's popular "Portable Hollywood" mobile entertainment offering. Portable Hollywood features daily made-for-mobile video clips and multimedia featuring the hottest celebrities, latest movies, parties, music, DVDs, and bizarre happenings in Hollywood.

Portable Hollywood is an original mobile brand exclusively produced for mobile consumers, and is currently distributed on 3G networks in the USand Europe, and through various partners in Japan, China, Singapore, and other countries in Asia. Mandarin, Spanish, French, and German-language versions are expected to launch by the end of the year.

"Mobile Media has proven their ability to innovate, and offer successful services in a 3G environment," says James F. Robinson, Founder and CEO of CinemaElectric. "This partnership gives CinemaElectric the technological edge we need to develop the innovative, rich-media projects that will define the new wave of narrative motion pictures designed to be a part of the mobile lifestyle."

Analysts predict the sale of mobile phones will far outpace that of televisions, PCs, and movie theatre tickets combined by 2009, estimating that 2.6 billion mobile phones will be in circulation around the world.

JT Klepp, Mobile Media's Executive Vice President Mobile Entertainment says, "Our core competency is acquiring and growing high-margin 3G subscribers though our unique and differentiated rich-media content. We offer mobile games and video, on top of our proprietary and viral community platform, to provide `integrated and immersive' experiences to our end users."
