Hong Kong's CSL announced the launch of High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) Mobile Broadband Service and Dopod 838Pro. With CSL's territory-wide HSDPA Mobile Broadband Service and the powerful all-in-one handset Dopod 838Pro, customers can now enjoy a faster and richer communications experience with true mobility.
CSL's Chief Executive Officer, Hubert Ng, said, "We are very pleased to launch HSDPA Mobile Broadband Service and pioneer the introduction of the world's first HSDPA handset, Dopod 838Pro, offering customers much higher data transmission rates at up to 1.8Mbps. That means faster downloads, improved productivity and greater convenience. In short, we are unlocking the power of mobile communications for our customers."
"HSDPA is a smooth evolution to our 3G service. CSL's HSDPA network enables customers to enjoy high-quality broadband mobile data services and we will gradually enhance the data rate to 3.6Mbps when supporting devices are available."
The Dopod 838Pro is an outstanding choice for both corporate customers and individuals needing high-performance mobile services. The Dopod 838Pro offers an attractive design and a comprehensive range of features. This rich function set - combined with CSL's territory-wide HSDPA network - enables customers to surf the Internet, download email and access a huge range of applications with greater convenience.
Customers also benefit from CSL's extensive international data roaming service, which offers 3G and HSDPA coverage in 67 and 31 destinations, respectively.
