The Telecommunications Association of Thailand will hold a seminar
on Wednesday to discuss the introduction of 3G mobile phones in
Thailand and to deliver guidelines on how the future National Telecom
Commission (NTC) will issue licenses, the association's president
Kosol Petchsuwan said over the weekend.
The allocation of 3G frequencies to operators will likely be completed
by January 2003, while the issuance of licenses is expected to take
place around June in the same year, he said.
