Turkey has announced that it will sell 3G mobile licences in late
2002, though the number of licences Turkey will sell will depend
on telecoms market conditions. The number of licences to be issued
will depend on the number of bidders who come forward, said Yurdal.
He believes, however, that Turkey may sell 4 licences, coinciding
with Turkey’s 4 GSM licenced operators.
