Patrick Yuen was a regular writer and article advisor for 3Gnewsroom.com and worked closely with GSM Association/UMTS Forum in the active promotion of W-CDMA as the 3G standard. He was involved in 2001 with content/application development for Europe’s first operational 3G network in Isle of Man for Manx Telecom.

 

 


Introduction into 3G
Mobile telephony allowed us to talk on the move. The internet turned raw data into helpful services that people found easy to use. Now, these two technologies are converging to create third generation mobile services.
